I’ve made a small wall hanging with some plant dyed scraps of linen that I have embellished with DMC’s new Eco Vita naturally dyed organic wool threads. There is a wide range of colours that sit so beautifully against my fabrics. I love how naturally dyed tones sit so well together and I think the matt texture complements the linen really well. I have added stitched details to contrast with the appliqued shapes, trying a variety of different techniques. The threads are lovely and soft to ...

These little collages finally told me they wanted to be a stitch book, then distracted me until I turned them into pages. Now they each want a touch of stitching in the margins. This piece has some sparkly Essex as the “water”, so I pulled out some Glamore metallic thread from Wonderfil. It’s not the most cooperative thread, but good gracious it’s gorgeous. Totally worth a little bit more effort. I used Fruitti 12 weight cotton for the spiral stitches, also from Wonderfil. #handstitchin...
