an empty room with a black table in the middle and text that reads hate the look stand up desk then keep chins
Kate Hewitt on Instagram: "Hate the look of a standing desk ✨ Let’s cover it up ❤️ The trick here was to make something lightweight that wasn’t permanent. Just incase we needed to get to the electrics etc.. The black metal legs and top just wasn’t the look & I wanted an oak desk but could I find one that raises up to stand NO!! So here is what I did 👇🏼 ✨measure the height, width, depth of the legs ✨cut oak veneered mdf using a circular saw to these measurements ✨cut 45degree angle and use mitre adhesive to stick the front to the sides ✨we also cut out an extra gap at the top of one side to fit over the desk’s mechanism ✨for the top we simply cut a piece of a oak board the length and width of the top . ✨cut a 45 degree angle on one side ✨ cut another piece of wood 15cm in width
