Homemade Gum Paste - approx. 2lb bag powdered sugar|0.25oz unflavored gelatin (1pkg)|2T lemon juice|3T water|1t corn syrup - Using double boiler,dissolve gelatin in water & lemon juice on med heat. Stir in corn syrup. Add sugar til mix is still soft,but solid enough to start kneading. Knead til a smooth dough,adding sugar if too sticky. Wrap in plastic wrap,then put in Ziploc bag to rest 12hrs before using. (Be sure to remove air.) Use within 2weeks if storing at room temp.
