This ring holder was a custom order for a doctor. When doctors are in surgery they have to take off their rings. Many tie their rings to their scrubs but in some cases will lose their rings when the scrubs are sent to the laundry with the rings accidentally still attached. My customer was the doctor's wife and she wanted a pendant that could hold the ring securely while he was in surgery.
