White washing was done with sponge & semi gloss latex white ceiling paint from Walmart. Watch a video on youtube: "How to white wash brick". Best advice was to do it in streaks, easy on the paint & then go over it later in random areas with heavier streaks of paint. Took less than a gallon to do entire area
