Editable Library Shelf Labels

This is another way to help your students find books they would like more quickly. We purchased thin magazine boxes from Demco (basic ordering info included) and put these labels on the taller side of the magazine boxes. My students and staff really like them ... the bold blue makes them stand out on the shelves compared to other shelf labeling methods. :) A variety of non-fiction images are available as well as blank labels for letters (for example, to use in the picture book section) or fiction genre sections (some of those blank ones users will need to print once with the first half of the alphabet and then go back and re-edit that page with the second half to print again). Requests for particular topics may be added upon request IF I have an image readily available. I'm not super fast with that, depending on the time of year, though. Sometimes within a day or two. Other times it can take a lot long. I've tested this several different ways so I'm crossing my fingers that it works. By following the great directions from Z is for Zebra (link is included in the file) I was able to change the "suggested text" visible in the preview and choose the font, as well as play with the sizing and spacing. Users will NOT be able to change or copy clip art or the final label size (beyond printing at half size). The only editable portion are the topics and call numbers. There are a couple blank ones on purpose.
