The Tennessee/Georgia state line at this point is about 12 miles south of where I grew up in Cleveland, Bradley County, Tennessee. Back before there was an interstate highway, this was the quickest way from Cleveland to Atlanta, Georgia, where my Conn grandparents and lots of other extended family lived.
