I saw this Red Fox close to my house, right on a downtown street a little while ago. She had spotted a mouse or vole in the frozen grasses and was in predator mode, eyes, ears and nose in overdrive. This one looks healthy, quite noble even, compared to some of the scrawny looking half-starved young specimens I saw around here in the summer. Perhaps she was the survivor of the litter.
