S-Tone Inc. presents PRELUDE, the tenth album in a 30-year career.
The title is a double homage: to the legendary American label Prelude, which defined New York’s disco sound between the late ’70s and early ’80s, and to Prelude by Eumir Deodato for CTI, a masterpiece of cross-genre fusion.
The album moves between two different moods: on one side, soul, funk, disco, and house tracks enriched by the deep black voice of Julia St. Louis and the jazz-blues tone of Laura Fedele; on the other, Latin and Brazilian atmospheres with the contribution of Toco, culminating in a surprising reinterpretation of Santana’s Guajira.
With PRELUDE, Stefano Tirone once again asserts his distinctive style: a refined and cosmopolitan blend of genres that has made the sound of S-Tone Inc. truly unique.
