Pavel Alekseyevich Cherenkov (Roushie: Па́вел Алексе́евич Черенко́в [ˈpavʲɪl ɐlʲɪˈkseɪvʲɪtɕ tɕɪrʲɪnˈkof], Julie 28, 1904 – Januar 6, 1990) wis a Soviet pheesicist wha shared the Nobel Prize in pheesics in 1958 wi Ilya Frank an Igor Tamm for the discovery o Cherenkov radiation, made in 1934.^[1]
