about

This is the 3rd in my series of Multiverse albums (not counting the live album).

Each version is a little different but some aspects are a constant. For instance the personnel changes, but the instrumentation remains the same. The compositions are different but the aesthetic is pretty consistent.

The first Multiverse album was directly inspired by John Abercrombie but it quickly became a vehicle for my fascination with the guitar and more specifically the possibilities that two-guitars, bass and drums present.

In the process of writing music for this project, I also became aware of my tendency toward minimalism or trying to do more with less as a composer. Sometimes that meant using only a few repeated notes and sometimes it was a process of editing out the "superfluous" ones.

This album is the first which is made up of pieces I wrote on Patreon, which was itself a learning experience. Through trying to show my process, I became much more conscious of my strengths and limitations.

The videos I made while writing this music are available here:

Thanks to Hilmar, Andrés and Nico for the energy they put into this project and their beautiful interpretations of this music.

Thanks to Albert for his easy disposition and attention to detail.

Thanks to Sunna for her constant support and inspiration.
