"Cruel and Unusual" is a follow-up to my previous scatterArchive release "Cold Shoulder"

Most of the material was performed and recorded by myself using various instruments along with some audio sourced from far-flung corners of the internet.

The pieces began as layered improvisations in a quite "maximalist" way, with many subsequent hours of editing and re-arranging post-recording until I was happy with what remained.

I like to take the listener on a journey with this music, following a "suite" structure and, although all the pieces were recorded separately, I sequenced them to create a whole.
