The post-overglade lockout has hit completely differently from the post-neighborhood lockout. In a way im kinda... content? with locking out. and just dabbling in things that interest me. Unlike neighborhood where it was a sort of sickly form of locking out where I actively felt like I was wasting away no doing anything. anyways... I started work on a song today. Well... 'started' is a big word, more like I spent some time goofing around in lmms and came up with an alright melody thing? I should finish making a song out of it, but it might be slightly too chaotic, Also watching the new mythical kitchen video that just dropped :yayayayayay:

• Defined pins for the Macroepad! That had been the main thing I didn't know how to do (and of course, turns out it was actually very simple)
• Configured 4/5 keys, but...thinking back on it, I'm not sure if these configurations will actually be that useful. I'll rethink and reconfigure them tomorrow (hopefully)
• Rewired the circuit board for the i-don't-know-how-many-th time. I had wired one switch to the wrong pin, rewired it, then didn't like the order of the switches (went "1-2-5-4-3" instead of "1-2-3-4-5" (left to right, top to bottom)) changed that, and rewired the whole thing again. This should be the final iteration of the circuit board design, since I'm almost done with the project (then again, last time I said that was on day 24, so...)

Today I was overall unproductive, but I did do an hour on my aces project. I added a visualizer for how many cards a player has, and added a graveyard so you can tell when a character dies (see low quality photo attached). Outside of that I mostly just played games, chilled, and did homework. Wait I know something i did, I tried out a new resturant that came to town! It was okay. I was experimenting on how to implement rivers in hytale custom biome without needing the intellect of einstein (i dont have that). So far unsuccessful, but as my knowledge gets better I am more likely to solve this til its infinintly small chance of me not being able to do it!! its like the limit calculus function. i think. anyways i will stop yapping, have a great day or night 😇

here is the day 8 story:
last night i stayed up wayy past my bedtime and tried to make the QMK software for the keyboard, but i ultimately failed, it was some errors about packages and QMK not able to find those, i don't even wanna talk about it. So I switched to KMK which was comparatively easir to setup and write in, as based in python and i have the basics rooted in python, it was not a huge task for me, today evening i officially finished writing the code for the board and added them to GitHub now we wait.

The biggest milestone this week was the completion of the “Starter Loop.” With Route 2 officially finished, the map now has a continuous, playable flow from the player’s front door to the gates of the first major challenge.
Pallet Town & Route 1: Balanced wild encounter rates and finalized the “rival” trigger zones.
Viridian City: Fully mapped with all interiors. Doorway Warps are now 100% functional—no more “phantom doors” or stuck transitions.
Route 2: Completed the layout, including the dual-path system. This marks the end of the “Tutorial” phase of the region.

Today was a very good day! I submitted one turret for steam review! Once thats done, I will be able to publish it on steam :D anyways so uh yeah thats cool. Now with one turret off my chest Im probably going to lock in with my aces project a bit more. Maybe dive more into hytale modding or maybe make some more hytale tutorials! We will just have to see. @Astrio0It's a minor change, but I finally fixed the look of the background on the first page of the side, and the padlock finally matches the text! With the code fully inputted, all I have to do is iron out a few bugs (certain sections not resetting it) and this multi-image mini project is finally done!

Did aces lock in call, and got some more progress done on my aces game. Also aces went from 40 hours required to 30, so you guys should go do it (not sponsored). Anyways I added a few more cards to my game, alongside making all the card textures have bold text. Also worked on implementing the next major mechanic, that being gaining new cards by sacrificing 5 followers of one type. This adds a sort of balance, where you need to balance the usage of win-currency, but also need to get cards that allow you to catch up to other players / remain in first. In one turret I made some polish changes to the chat system, and now the background reflects the boss' main color.

• Worked on my macropad (by redesigning it for like the 3rd time). Now it has 5 keys, an overall square shape, and a different drawing of poe on the back. I've also got plans for what I'll actually configure the keys to, so I'll see how that goes when I get around to it (hopefully tomorrow).
• Might participate in scraps this month if I find the time (most likely after I finish the macroepad)

• I think my sleep schedule may be permanently messed up. If I'm stressed I sleep late, then I become sleep deprived, being sleep deprived makes me emotionally unstable and I become even more stressed, thus continuing the every going cycle of destruction
• did well at the ioi today! At the one hour and 45 min mark I had only 8 points and even the teacher came to help:heavysob:. But once I got the structure set up, I speedrunned (speedran?) the tasks and got like 160 points in 40 min because it was super easy once you have the structure. 10/10 chaotic experience, would (nt) recommend

Big Day today! submitted my design for fusering event, finalized case design for hack pad.
So while surfing all the YSWS programs that Hack Club has active i stumbled across the Fusering event, this was perfect to get a hands on experience with fusion 360 as i had absolutely no ideas about the software, a good 3 hours spent, learnt a lot about extruding, merging and all that cad stuff, This helped me to make the hack pad case for my design and i love it ! you can check my GitHub there i have the BTS images uploaded for the hack pad n all !
I Hope I'll complete the Hack pad by this weekend and also will probably submit it for review !

Today I locked in quite a bit and got boss modding to work for my game one turret! It just uses a handy feature godot has where it can just load pck files, that way it easily loads the boss scene without any file path errors. Can be used later down the line for extra stuff too. Modded bosses will also show up in my lore-chat system if dialogue is set (i forgot to change the chat sprites blue)!
