🎲 Our operative group Asmodee just wrapped a full week at SPIEL 2024 in Essen, the world’s largest board game convention. During this week, Essen was transformed into a paradise for board game enthusiasts, and it's a chance to explore countless new games, meet some of the most creative minds in the industry, and connect with fellow gamers from around the world. 🌍
Essen SPIEL 2024 is a wrap! With more than 200,000 visitors attending this year, Essen SPIEL 2024 has become the largest edition to date. Abi Crowe chats with Nelly E., our senior event manager, who oversaw the organization and coordination of Asmodee’s presence at the event. It takes six days and a team of around 50 people to set up the booths, while several dozens of demo staff, worked tirelessly to demo our games and running the shop. It was a dedicated team of passionate individuals who brought this year’s event to life. 🎲 But behind the scenes, our sourcing teams were also hard at work, meeting with designers throughout the event to discover the games of tomorrow. The sourcing team met with over 60 designers to check many different designs. Essen SPIEL is truly an unmissable event for connecting with some of the most creative designers in the industry. 💡 We’re already looking forward to connecting with our fans at upcoming conventions and can’t wait to see them back at Essen SPIEL next year! 📅

Yesterday, we held Embracer Group's Annual General Meeting 2024, where we highlighted our business activities for the 2023/24 financial year, explored our ESG and sustainability achievements, gained insights from an industry market presentation, and reaffirmed our passion for games and the incredible community of fans. We also welcomed Brian Ward to the board of directors. Yasmina Brihi, Bernt Ingman, Jacob Jonmyren, Cecilia Qvist, Kicki Wallje-Lund, and Lars Wingefors were all re-elected to the board.
