Just like a waterlily, the blooms open up during the day and at night the petals close. The curve of the petals also remind me of peonies, but unlike peonies, these will keep blooming all summer and fall… provided you keep cutting the blooms. And then like all dahlias, these are grown from tubers and every tuber planted will make a clump of tubers underground in one season.
