CANO ESTREMERA (d. -2020)

[Carlos Enrique Estremera Colon] "El Dueno del Soneo," or "Cano". The master sonero (Improviser) was born on September 2, 1958 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. If Ismael Rivera made improvising an art form, Cano Estremera made of it a science with his serious and studious approached to his craft. His Cuban counterpart is Candido Fabre, both, intuitive and spontaneous singers. Considered by many in the industry the Prickly Pete of Salsa or maybe, just maybe, he doesn't suffer fools lightly.
