Ready to roll.....Anyone who knows me, knows I have a soft spot in my heart for creepy crawlies...spiders, snakes and bugs in general. I've always been fascinated by nature and all that it entails.

What did you call them as a kid? Pill bug? Roly poly? Armadillidiidae is a family of woodlice, a terrestrial crustacean group in the order Isopoda. Unlike members of other woodlouse families, members of this family can roll into a ball, an ability they share with the outwardly similar but unrelated pill millipedes and other animals. Their common names: pill bugs, roly polies, or doodle bugs. The best known species in the family is Armadillidium vulgare, the common pill bug.
