These plans are for those who already own a metal Rockler Router Table and want to make better use of it. I was originally going to build a router table from scratch, but I wanted a professional, sturdy, and flat table surface that would accommodate a router lift. Rockler has several to fill the bill and they happened to be offering a special that included the stand so I went for it. But I missed having the built-in storage that a custom stand would have offered. Why not have the best of both worlds! I tricked out my Rockler Router Stand in a weekend, using scrap wood. This design relies on the structural elements of the Rockler but adds extremely useful storage and a on/off safety switch to boot! The plans are 14 pages long and give step by step directions. Where possible, alternate dimensions are given if you want to use different size scrap wood that you have laying around. Sources are listed for all purchased materials used.
