I let myself slip and now I'm in the darkest hole
I once was above and now I'm below
When I try to use my own strength I sink even lower than I was before
This can't be done without your hand to pull me up and out
This is not how I should feel and not where I should be
I have no faith in myself
I'm laying down my pride
Hands are weak and I'm on my knees screaming and begging for mercy
I know this isn't living because I'm dead inside
I won't stay here. I won't die here.
I turned my back on you and I fell into the dirt.
But you waited patiently for my return.
I have lost my will to pray, but I can see no other way
I let myself slip and now I'm in the darkest hole.
I was once above and now I'm below
I won't stay here. I won't die here

Another Death Metal banger. It seems as of late, the newer hardcore/death metal bands coming out having been doing things right. Many years ago, I wasn't a fan of the new "deathcore" style that was coming out. Something about it just didn't sit well for me.
This style, however, seems to grab my attention and has me wanting to lift things up and put them down repeatedly.
All I can say is this is heavy. Sid

2X4, the definition of a groovy, face-punching, hard-slamming, hardcore chugfest! MCMLII is a scorching inferno forged by the crushing amalgam of aggressive metal and beatdown deathcore. "Volition" opens with prominently punchy, almost bouncy instrumentation, while "Destroy (a Mother's Beauty)" features oscillating rapid-fire drum patterns and "Adversary" brutalizes with intense fretwork. 2X4 are an unquenchable vacuum feasting on negativity, creating murderously heavy misanthropic anthems.
