ADC Space
OVERVIEW
The informal network at HSE Art & Design School had outgrown its chat‑based hub. Job postings, events and resources were scattered, and students struggled to present themselves professionally.
I designed ADC Space to unify jobs, events and profiles in one place so students can discover opportunities faster and share a single, clean link when applying.
Timeline
Sept 24 — May 25
Responsibilities
UX Research, Competitive Analysis, Prototyping, UI design, product strategy

The community’s energy was real: students collaborated, found internships and organised events offline. But online, important updates disappeared in endless chat threads. ADC Space channels that energy into a searchable hub. The goal: keep collaborations alive and make news easy to act on.

Understanding Students
We interviewed and surveyed students to map their daily tasks: finding internships, sharing portfolios and promoting events. Many said they checked five different channels and still missed opportunities. Few had the time or skills to build a website, and tutorials and resources quickly vanished in chats. Faculty echoed these frustrations and worried about the unstable messaging landscape in Russia. These insights shaped our plan.

We discovered
four main issues
Inefficient Information Flow
Jobs, events and updates were scattered across chats, so details got lost before students could act.
Loss of Valuable Resources
Tutorials and lecture links sank in message history; the community couldn’t find or reuse them.
Challenges in Self-Presentation
Few had time or skills to build a website; students needed a quick, professional profile.
Unpredictable Environment
With services exiting Russia and access rules shifting, core tools broke unpredictably—so we built a reliable, school-run hub.
Hypothesis: a unified digital portal
We believed that a simple, user-friendly digital platform —combining job listings, event announcements, and personal profiles — would solve these communication challenges. We structured content clearly, made navigation easy, and ensured students could easily discover and access helpful features.

Channels That Students Actually Use
We designed around the channels students were already using. Telegram bots deliver personalised updates. Email newsletters reach more conservative users. Community chats let content spread organically. Pulling these feeds into ADC Space reduces the need to jump between apps.

Where Content Comes From
Content is sourced naturally from within the community. Students, instructors, and curators share internships, events, and resources. Small businesses and administrators contribute with official announcements and external opportunities. Clarifying who posts what keeps content relevant and easy to follow.

Job Board
We started with a Job Board. Students filter by field or compensation, preview details inline and apply using their ADC Space profile. Tag filters, saved lists and in‑place details help them act quickly.

Meetups & Events
Next, we added an Events section. Workshops, talks and deadlines live in a single calendar. Students search by keyword, see personalised suggestions based on their interests and set reminders so they never miss an opportunity.

ADC Me — a clean, shareable profile
To solve self‑presentation, we created ADC Me, a simple profile hub. Students assemble projects, skills, links and contact information without coding. It’s a lightweight, professional card they can update in minutes and share with employers or collaborators.

Designed for growth
To keep the platform consistent as it grows, we built a robust UI kit. Reusable buttons, cards and typography tokens make it easy to expand features quickly without sacrificing visual coherence.

We were thinking in the right direction
ADC Me was designed as a lightweight alternative to a full personal website. Shortly after, tools like bento.me gained traction with a similar idea—lightweight, customisable profile hubs for creative people. Seeing these products succeed confirmed that the problem we were solving was real and widely shared.

Results
When roles, events and resources were scattered across chats—and students lacked a quick, professional profile—the task was clear: create one reliable, school-hosted hub. We built ADC Space with a Jobs board, an Events calendar and ADC Me profiles, using tags, filters and simple publishing. Students now check one place instead of five, find roles faster, and share a single clean link in applications; tutorials and event details no longer vanish in chat history. Early signals show traction—[XX] roles and [YY] events posted, [ZZ] profiles created in the first [timeframe], with time-to-find dropping from [baseline] to [new]. Next we’ll add employer accounts, saved searches and light analytics to keep suggestions sharp.
