one of my faves
This is one of my favourite spots in Batam. I have nothing but praise for this place, staff are efficient, menus both food and drink with enough variety and pricing on point. Definitely our post Cycling/ running fuel place.
They have some excellent food - the shakshuka is authentic, moreish and well-priced (love dat sausage). Pancakes are fluffy, chargrilled corn salad is well-balanced and bold. Coffee is super, and the Wira's blend tea is amazing. Music is vibin and ambience is comfy. Love it.

📍Takachiho Gorge Feels So Unreal! 🛶🌳
📍 Miyazaki, Kyushu – Japan’s Hidden Gem You Shouldn’t Miss
I’d seen photos of Takachiho Gorge before, but nothing prepared me for how magical it feels in real life. Tucked away in the mountains of Miyazaki Prefecture, this place is like stepping into a storybook with dramatic cliffs, emerald green water, and a waterfall that feels like it’s whispering ancient legends.
Here’s how my day went, and why I’d go back in a heartbeat:
⸻
🚗 Getting There
I joined a one-day tour from Hakata Station, which made everything super convenient and on schedule.
⸻
🛶 The Boat Ride – The Highlight of the Trip
Renting a rowboat was the best decision I made. Floating between those towering basalt cliffs, with the Manai Waterfall pouring right next to you… it’s peaceful, surreal, and honestly, quite romantic. I went there as a couple and we got many photos! Trust me, this place is very instagramable!
Cost: Around ¥3,000 for 30 minutes
Warning: Get there early! The queue can get long, especially during holidays. It’s better to reserve 2 weeks before you go there. Or you can book a tour that includes the boat rides.
⸻
🌸 Walking Around the Gorge
There’s a scenic walking trail that gives you a top-down view of the gorge. It’s all shaded by lush greenery, making it perfect even on warm days.
Even though I live in Kyushu, Takachiho Gorge still takes my breath away. It’s truly the most stunning place around! Whether you’re on the boat or walking the trails, you’ll fall in love with its calm beauty.
If you’re visiting Kyushu, don’t miss it. I’m already dreaming of my next trip back.
Let me know if you have questions. Just drop me a message—I’m here to help! 😊✈️🌿

🌴☀️ TUI BLUE Palm Beach – Pure relaxation in paradise 🇹🇳✨
Just spent a dreamy vacation at the TUI BLUE Palm Beach in Tunisia, and it was everything I needed — sun, sea, and serenity all in one place. 😍🌊
🏨 The hotel:
• Beautiful beachfront location with direct access to soft white sand.
• Spacious, clean rooms with a modern design and balconies facing the sea.
• Super friendly staff — always smiling and ready to help. 🫶
🍽️ The food was a huge highlight: varied buffets every day, fresh local dishes, and delicious Tunisian pastries. Oh, and the cocktails by the pool? 10/10. 🍹🍉
🎯 Activities:
• Relaxed by the pool most days, but also joined fun activities like aqua gym and beach volleyball.
• Evening shows were entertaining and full of good vibes. 🎶
• There’s even a spa if you’re up for a little extra pampering. 💆♂️🧖♀️
💡 My tips:
• Ask for a sea-view room — waking up to the Mediterranean is priceless.
• Try the local mint tea in the lounge, it’s amazing.
• Perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers looking to unwind in the sun.
Honestly, this hotel has that perfect balance of chill and fun. I left totally recharged and already dreaming about coming back. ☀️🌊💙

huge space open till late
Even though the café opens 24 hours, there is not much variety of the menu to choose during late nights. Moreover, you've got to order & pay first at the cashier. The environment, interior and exterior is really impressive. Loved the decor and nature it has.
Had their Long Black which is pretty good! Unfortunately their mushroom and avocado has run out so I had their banana cake, not too bad. Service was good, really great place to just chill. I spent some time here just to write some postcards
