Prolegomenon marks a new chapter in Skin Tension’s relentless journey through the realms of avant-garde metal.
This album brings a more stripped-down compositional approach while retaining utmost intensity, weaving the ferocity of raw black metal with the avant-garde complexity of zeuhl, creating a soundscape that is both exhilarating and mesmerizing.
From the first track, the listener is plunged head-first into a hostile, alien dreamscape where abstract riffs and ferocious drumming intertwine with hypnotic, almost ritualistic progressions.
These compositions set Prolegomenon apart from anything Skin Tension has previously released, paving the way for the highly anticipated sequel to 2022's Omni, which will be released in 2025. This is only the prequel.
