I'm curious about what happens in our brains while we are sleeping. In my work I'm trying to find novel ways of uncovering the mystery of slumber. I'm mainly using MEG ( magnetoencephalography) in my research.

Machine Learning

Having a background in Artificial Intelligence, I'm always on the lookout for ways of transferring novel findings in machine learning to neuroscience.

Open Source

Code should be available to everyone. I've contributed to various open source projects and the collaborative aspect is very productive. Especially with modern coding agents, having shared code bases with stable code is of much importance.

The brain is awesome. That's why I love learning and researching it. Even though my specialization is sleep research, I'm generally interested in all facets of neuroscience, from philosophy of mind to cellular levels.

Python programming

Python programming

I love Python and its open-source-by-design approach. I'm maintaining and contributing to a couple of smaller (e.g. mat73) and larger Python libraries (e.g. pyedflib, MNE, Spyder-IDE). Go check out my GitHub for more!

Open Science

I believe research should be transparent and reproducible. I share data and preprints openly wherever possible and advocate for open science practices in the neuroscience community.
