Another one bites the dust

This is a second leaving card I've had to make.  Chloe is leaving us to be a full times sales assistant.

This one had to be more girly and I know she would have like it with plenty of embellishments, BUT, it has to be passed round work for signing and they do tend to destroy things.

The image I've used here is Love is in the Air from All Dressed Up.  The image has been coloured with ProMarkers and I've sketched some clouds in the background.

To complete the card I've done some doodling in biro around the image, some design paper from Lili of the Valley, a sentiment from Lili of the Valley and a few sequins and gems.

We're really sad to see Chloe go and it's going to be so quiet without her.

Leaving luck

Sharing you today a leaving card I've just made for one of our sales reps at work.  He's going back home broad so we wanted to wish him luck as well as just leaving.

The image I chose to use was from the Doodle Pantry is called Clover Patch Ants.

Coloured with ProMarkers.  The card has to be passed round work for signing so I kept the layout simple with no embellishments.  I've just done some doodling round the edges of the image with a biro.

The only thing I added were a few gems.

Pop of red

Leaving cards are so difficult to make for guys, but I was lucky enough to find this image from Tiddy Inks - he's called Big Bad Dad.

I've coloured it with ProMarkers and mounted him onto some black card stock.

Design papers are from Lili of the Valley, Prima Marketing and I can't remember where I got the cog paper from - sorry :(

The sentiment was printed on my computer using Mia's Scribblings font.

I've also added some tiny black gems and some cogs from Tim Holtz.

Floating away

This image has a title which make you thing of anniversaries or Valentines - it's called Love is In The Air from All Dressed Up.  I chose it because I though it would make quite a good leaving card.  I've been using quite a few with suitcases on but am now starting to run out of ideas.

So if anyone can give me some more inspiration for leaving cards let me know - or tell people at my work to stop leaving LOL!!
The image has been coloured with ProMakers and I've sketch some clouds into the background.  I've cut the image out, distressed the edges then mounted it onto some plain white card stock.

The design papers are from Lili of the Valley.

As this card is going to be passed round work I've kept it fairly free of embellishments just adding some blue self adhesive gems.

The new job sentiment is coloured with ProMarkers and is from a Lili of the Valley art pad.
Right people at work stop leaving - LOL!!

Feeling Blue

When asked to make a leaving card what image do you pick?  I'd be very interested to know as I'm running out of ideas.

I've dug out my old stamp Molly Makes a Detour from Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls collection.  I've had this stamp for ages and have used it quite a few times.  I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz antique linen to take away the bright white of the card.  She's then been mounted onto some black card stock to frame her.
Design papers are from Santoro Gorjuss and I've used some more black card stock.  The lacy black to the left of the image has been created using a Spellbinders die.

As this is a leaving card and its going to be passed round work I've kept the embellishments to a minimum just adding a new job sentiment from a Lili of the Valley art pad and some black self adhesive gems.

Winter snooze

I must get on soon and make more Christmas cards, the time seems to be flying by and I feel like I'm falling behind.  So when I saw Papertake weekly have a challenge on at the moment to use one of their sketches (sketchie free for all) I decided to take the opportunity to use their current one to do a Christmas card.

I've used Lili of the Valley's Christmas Bunnies - Tree and coloured it with ProMarkers, then used a die to cut the scallop shape.

I've tried to keep the theme Christmas trees and baubles using Bebunnie paper from Crafters Companion as the backing paper.  The other paper used is Lili of the Valley and NitWit Collections Festive Trimmings paper, being cut it so "under the tree" was showing below the bunnies.

The ribbon is something I've had for a while which I'd bought from Hobby Craft.  The green corner embellishment is from a pack that Hobby a Craft are selling for Christmas this year as is the heart sentiment.

Finals touches were a bottom left corner bit of bling in yellow, some black pearl self adhesive gems and some red and clear to highlight the baubles in the tree.  The glitter was added last to highlight the snow.

Happy crafting

Don't go......

One of the girls in the office has got a promotion and is leaving her current role at the end of the month.  I was asked if I had any good luck or leaving cards but I've been cleaned out.  This is my first one as replacement stock but it may not last long in my box at work!

The stamp is Lili of the Valley - From All of Us.  I've colour the image using ProMarkers and edged it in a brown shade.

The papers are form Santoro Gorjus - Neutrals, Docrafts Wellington Bear paper stack and Lili of the Valley - On a High Note.

I've decorated the top left with a mixture of flowers (mainly roses) from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Finally I've added a sentiment in small letter beads and some black and red self adhesive gems.

I'm submitting this card into the Fantasy Stampers challenge - Hearts & Flowers.

Happy crafting x

Roni's Leaving Card

So today was Roni's last day at work.

My boss couldn't fine a suitable leaving card - they were all too sloppy, too cheeky or ones she might have taken the wrong way.

So I volunteered to make one.  A huge challenge as we wanted to have a large card for everyone to sign in the company.

I decided to use one of Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls stamps - Victoria and Juliette's night out.  The stamp was coloured using Pro-Lite markers.
Backing paper was an A4 sheet of Pearlised papers.  On top of this I used two sheets from Lili of the Valley & Raspberry Road Designs - Baskets and Bunnies cut at an angle.
Ribbon was from Lili of the Valley's Little Bag of Ribbon - Purple.
For the writing I used black and purple felt adhesive letters I'd picked up from Hobby Craft.
Additional embellishments silver metal corners, some Hobby Craft 3D flower toppers and self adhesive gems.

Overall I was very happy with the way it turned out.
Hope you like it too x
