Pretty in pink

I've a few commissions on at the moment.  This one has been created for a friend for her nephew.  They're expecting their first baby soon and its going to be a girl :)

AND this is the perfect for our new challenge at Fussy and Fancy Fridays which is my favourite PINK!!

Now it's been a while since I've used a Lili of the Valley Stamp.  I pretty much haven't a lot of room so I was delighted to find they've started to do digi images!

This one is Cosy Pram.
The image was coloured with Copics.  I've cut it out in a circle and used some Tim Holtz vintage photo ink on the edges.  On top of this I've scattered some embossing enamel.  Behind it is a die cut scalloped circle from Spellbinders.  I've used some pink stripy paper from Maja Design.

The other layers of paper behind are also from Maja Design and all have been distressed with a Tonic Solutions tool.

Between the layers of paper are two different lace pieces.  The flowers and lace were both bought from Noor Design.
The sentiment coloured with Copics is a Lili of the Valley one.  I've added a few pearls, a wooden heart shape and a banner cut with a Fantasy die (also from Noor Design)

Hope you love my inspiration and we see you at the challenge

Vintage Memories

I'm sharing my creation today as hostess at Fussy and Fancy Fridays where the theme for the next two weeks is ANYTHING GOES.  I've only just joined the DT team recently but am loving being able to create these types of cards.  I tend to create a lot of CAS cards to showcase my images so this makes a lovely change.

It also allows my creativity to run free :D

I've used a vintage image from Pion Design, in fact all my design papers are form Pion Design as well and have been distressed.

Behind the image are some lacy die cut circles cut with Spellbinders and Little Darlings dies.

Behind this you can just see some vintage lace peaking out.

Here's a close up of one of the flower arrangements, made up of rose buds, apple blossoms, leaves, gypsophila and I've finished it off with some tiny silver dragonfly charms.

The card also has various wood chip elements from Scrapienic, a butterfly, a memories sentiment, some leaves, and XOX sentiment, a frame under the image.

And to finish off a few pearl gems.

Hope you love my inspiration and we see you over at the challenge.

Follow the White Rabbit

The title is a movie reference especially for my hubby ;)

We'e a new challenge at All Dressed Up in the Facebook Group.  We'd like you to FEATURE A CREATURE!  One of my favourites - I love animals!!

Seen as it's nearly Easter I've decided to use Wendy's Easter Bunny.  For this card it's all while apart from the image which I've coloured with ProMarkers and polychromos pencils.  In the background you can see some white embossing enamel.

It's and the die cut card behind it have both been cut out with Spellbinders dies.  They've been edged with Black Soot ink from Tim Holtz.  I've also doodled a stitched border round the edge of the bunny image.

Behind these is a doily and the distressed design papers from First Edition.  In between the layered papers is some crafting gauze.

I've also added a couple of mini tags threaded with vintage seam binding.

Other embellies now mentioned a re a large wooden butterfly from Scrapienic, while flowers and lace.

Don't forget at All Dressed Up we have the blog challenge as well.  You can enter you creations with Wendy's mages in here too :D

Embellish It!

So this is it my first creation as a DT member for Fussy and Fancy Fridays, this means I get to play with LOTS of lovely embellishments and create beautiful cards that I wouldn't normally make.
Thank you so much for having me ladies - I'm so looking forward to working with you all.

The theme for the next two weeks is EMBELLISH IT!  Dig out your gorgeous embellishments lovelies it's time to play :D

I had a bit of a practice making a bag (in pink) in a similar style before I actually made this.  This one is more vintage shabby chic and monochromatic in its looks than the bag I made, mainly due to the colours.  It's been made for my mother in law for her birthday.  I don't think she reads my blog so I think I'm ok posting this here!
The design papers are from Lemoncraft and have been distressed.
Around one of the layers I've used some tiny flat back pearl string for a border.
I've dug out some of my Dusty Attic wood chip to make the trellis for the flowers and then added two resin corners.

The flowers all white creams and yellows are from The Ribbon Girl and Noor Design.  I've used a magnolia, a large wild rose bud, small rose buds, a chrysanthemum, roses, lilies and gypsophila.

There are some small pieces of cream twine around the flowers.  To complete the flowering garden look I've added a few tiny silver dragonfly charms.

The Mum sentiment in made up from Sizzix letter and design paper scraps.  there have been mounted onto a wooden element from Scrapinic.  Added to the bottom of this are two tiny wooden hearts.

To finish off the vintage shabby look I've added a splash of gesso.

Here are a couple of close ups of the flowers at different angels so you can see them better.
I've used this layout for a couple of creations now and have found it perfect for creating cards like this.  If you'd like me to create a sketch layout let me know and I'll see what I can do to get one made up so you can use it too.

Hope you'll join us at Fussy and Fancy this fortnight

MILs Shabby Bag

I've been sneaky and joined another DT LOL!!  Did you know? ;)

For this one I need LOTS of practice with embellishments, so I've got a bit of practice on making a gift bag for my mother in law.  This bag was plain white when I started out :D

The distressed design papers I've used are from Lemoncraft.  On the edges of these I've used some Vintage Photo ink from Tim Holtz to break up the layers.

Around the edge of the centre layer I've used some tiny flat back pearl string to create a border.

Inside this the the left are two resin corners.  By the way if anyone knows where you can get these from now in the UK please give me a shout I've been trying to find some more without success!

Ok onto the centre piece.  I've used some wood chip elements from Scrapienic.  These have also been treated with some vintage photo ink.  The mum has been cut out from some scraps of pink design paper with my Sizzix letter dies.  With this I've added a tiny wooden heart.

Onto the central panel I've added some flowers, twine and some tiny silver dragonfly charms.  To finish off I've tied some vintage seam binding in a double bow around the handle.

Hope my mother in law loves it!
