Carol Danvers
Captain Marvel (real name Carol Susan Jane Danvers, and Kree name Car-Ell), previously known as Ms. Marvel, is a fictional character and super heroine from the Marvel Comics and universe, appearing as the main protagonist of the titular comics, and a major character in The Avengers and A-Force comics. She was created by Roy Thomas and Gene Colan, and first appeared in Marvel Super-Heroes #13 in March of 1968.
Fictional character biography
[change | change source]She is a human and Kree hybrid who became a pilot for the United States Air Force, and became a superheroine after unlocking her powers from the Psyche-Magnitron. During her heroic career, she has donned the nicknames Binary and Warbird, as well as Captain Marvel; and she later became a member of the Avengers and prominent ally of the X-Men.

Mckenna Grace portrayed a young Carol in Captain Marvel. Alexandra Daniels voices alternate reality versions of the character in the Disney+ animated series What If...? (2021).
