Christmas music
Appearance
Christmas music is songs that relate to Christmas and New Year's. The music is normally heard during the holiday season.
Music was an early part of Christmas and its celebrations.
During the Middle Ages, the English people combined circle dances with singing and called them carols. Christmas carols in English first appeared in a 1426 work from John Audelay.
Traditional Christmas songs are "Silent Night", "Deck the Halls" and "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen".[1]
Modern Christmas songs include "Jingle Bell Rock", "The Christmas Song", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Sleigh Ride", "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas".[2][3]
