WE RAN EAST or WHERE THE RUNNING COMMUNITY SENT US This year, the FPT running community stood at the start of the relay race Zaži východ. The vision of an exceptional experience was so strong that we entered up to two relay teams with fitting names: FPT Veni Vidi Vinič and the FPT Wine team, as we ran from Košice to Grand Bari, the cradle of of Tokaj wine. Passing The Zaži východ relay race was also a special experience this year. Thanks to which it treated us to hundreds of emotions. We experienced the satisfaction of a job well done, the adrenaline of pushing our own limits, the pride of our team, the excitement of the race, the happiness of the results, the stress of the difficult sections, the thrill of the fast pace, the excitement of the support of the fans, the togetherness of the team, the experience of the beautiful nature, the surprise of the unexpected moments, the closeness with our colleagues, the joy of a successful completion and the relief of crossing the finishing line. Events like these remind us how important it is to foster community and to work together to create a trusting organizational culture. We proudly wear our company logo on our t-shirt and become natural ambassadors of FPT. Communities make us stronger, more cohesive and more successful. Tomáš Gáll, it’s great that you do this with heart; it can be felt in every event you organize in Košice.

HR REVOLUTION IN PRACTICE THAT INSPIRES! Our HR manager, Lucia Tomkova, attended the HRcomm & SME People Business Summit 2024 conference last month, where as an HR expert she brought inspiring ideas in her approach to learning. She shared her vision and perception of learning as an integral part of our strategy. At Fpt Slovakia s.r.o., we innovate and bring new approaches that build natural ambassadors for our company. We believe that the revolution in education is not only about technology, but also about how to activate employees, give them the freedom to grow and develop, and create the right conditions for them to do so. For us, communities are a natural tool to connect and activate employees based on their interests, values or attitudes. A revolution in education does not have to be complicated, but it must have a clear goal and added value. That is why at Fpt Slovakia we support individuality, uniqueness and the possibility to combine work duties with hobbies, simply doing what we enjoy. In addition, through the activities that are carried out within the community, we also build natural leadership, presentation or negotiation skills, opening up a wide range of opportunities to naturally apply the acquired skills in practice and their further improvement. ON THE PATH OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ...was the theme of this year's SLOVAK WOMAN IN TECH conference organized by AjTyvIT. Our Head of HR, Lucia Tomkova, passionately discussed our experiences with AI during a panel discussion. Together with Branislav Šmidt, they discussed the topic of finding new employees, recruiting or taking care of people in an organization in the era of artificial intelligence. Will AI change or has it already changed the usual HR processes in the company?  Will it cause humanity or the much-mentioned authenticity to disappear? We have come all the way from the far east to encourage and inspire with our personal experience in implementing AI, and not just the female gender. And what is our advice when trying out new technologies? Play, invent, explore, try, but still make sure that the heart is not taken out of human relationships. Petra Kotuliakova, thank you very much for a change to be a part of such an inspiring event.   

ONE HUNDRED REASONS TO RUN The first Sunday in October belonged Košice to runners and the International Peace Marathon. Our running community from Fpt Slovakia s.r.o. and FPT Czech s.r.o. also had the honour to experience the 100th year of this unrepeatable event. And that we at FPT enjoy running is evident in the large turnout, which broke records this year. Almost 60 runners under the Fpt Slovakia flag, each with a different goal, purpose or for a different reason. However, they had one thing in common - the desire to experience the electrifying atmosphere of the oldest marathon and to prove to themselves that common community training helps us to overcome ourselves, but also to recognize our determination, perseverance and willingness to push the limits of possibilities. Every colleague who decided to experience the unparalleled magic of a day spent together in an emotionally charged atmosphere took away not only a limited edition marathon medal to wear, but also a sense of victory and belonging to our amazing and exponentially growing community. CELEBRATION OF 10th BIRTDAY IN STYLE This week was a special one for our company. Our company shone a little brighter than usual in the starry sky of IT companies. Since Monday, we have been celebrating our round anniversary together with our important customers as well as our employees. In addition to a number of side activities, trips or technology workshops in our unique Innovation Lab, the company's management presented the timeless vision of the company at a press conference. Not only for our employees and customers, but also for all passers-by, we prepared a unique premiere of FPT Galaxia ice cream, which combines Vietnamese exoticism with Slovak originality, in front of the Fpt Slovakia building on Tuesday. In cooperation with Kostolianska ice cream, a frosty delicious speciality was created, which became a sweet highlight of our celebration. We ended the birthday day with a spectacular party in star style with a concert of the band IMT SMILE, which made dance everyone who had arms and legs. During the evening we not only sang their popular hits, but also sang Happy Birthday while cutting a 30 pound cake or unveiling a Hollywood star. And since we've been shining in the starry sky of IT companies for 10 years, we also gave ourselves a real FPT star for our birthday, which is already winking brightly at us from the constellation Perseus. On Thursday, we reminisced, helped out and played a bit of sport. In the Anička area we remembered our colleague Katarína through the charity run RUN4KATKA, which raised a nice amount of money for UVP Košice. We ended the birthday week with a lunch for all Slovak and Czech employees at the expense of FPT and thanked them virtually for their work, uniqueness and loyalty. But we weren't done with presents yet, because tonight we still have a picnic in the park by the floating fountain with a star-studded FPT movie premiere and a fountain light show. FPT Czech s.r.o.

GET TO KNOW THE CULTURE OF EXOTIC VIETNAM On Sunday 18 August 2024 at 11.00 a.m. the gates of the Palma for the People complex at Račianska 76 in Bratislava will open, revealing the beauty of Vietnamese culture and world-renowned gastronomy. The third edition of the Vietnam Day event will bring a rich programme, a number of workshops and performances by well-known Vietnamese groups, a photo exhibition by the Slovak Vietnamese woman Kvet Nguyen and a show of traditional Vietnamese Áo dài costumes. For lovers of good food, Vietnamese cuisine and popular street food dishes will be available. And since our company Fpt Slovakia is part of the global corporation FPT Corporation, whose roots go back to far Vietnam, it is natural for us to support the development of good relations with the Vietnamese community. This international dimension and the interconnection of Vietnamese culture with our Slovak culture brings us a rich heritage and experience from Asia, and thus a diverse and inspiring working environment in our company. FPT SLOVAKIA PARTICIPATES IN THE WORLD ROBOT OLYMPIAD At Fpt Slovakia s.r.o. Slovakia, we are grateful for the opportunity to contribute and help young talents grow. We strive to invest in their development through our know-how, skills, and years of experience in various IT fields. Educating the youth brings us a sense of fulfillment as we help them increase their qualifications and facilitate their adaptation process when making career decisions. This is why we decided once again to support the World Robot Olympiad, which finals were held during the warm June days at the Kulturpark in Košice. Young enthusiasts of Lego robotics measured their skills here, solving challenges that humanity faces based on given tasks. Under their hands, robots made from Lego bricks came to life, controlled by programs that manage motors and sensors. As part of the partnership, our company was represented in the competition by Peter Chlebak, one of our cluster leads. He had the opportunity to see firsthand how comprehensively the competitors think and how the quality increases due to greater competition and growth. His presence and experience contributed to creating a motivating and encouraging environment for these passionate young talents.

HR department in Fpt Slovakia is proud of the award-winning Recruiter "My first fleeting contact with Šarlota immediately convinced me that behind this young, analytically minded woman with a positive attitude towards modern technologies there is a person full of stimulating ideas and innovative solutions," began her words in the nomination for the prestigious Recruiter of the Year competition organized by the Recruitment Academy, HR Manager of Fpt Slovakia Lucia Tomkova. Success did not leave us waiting for long and our young, talented colleague, who is passionate about her work, Šarlota Pirošková, was ranked in the top 10 finalists in a strong competition of professionals from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, she won the absolute first place among the Slovak candidates. Fpt Slovakia has been confirming its strong position on the IT company market in the Najzamestnávateľ poll for several years now, also thanks to the successful and talented employees who are part of the company and help it grow. We congratulate Šarlota from the bottom of our hearts and wish her to continue to star thanks to her innovative mindset and unique flair for the recruiter's job.
