Nice little Goban. Or Go Board. I will be building one of these some day. Traditionally, they are constructed of a single piece of the japanese Kaya tree. They are as well much deeper; built with hexagonal legs and stained a natural light tone. I think I prefer the colour of this one though! Great inspiration and a great game. :)
The Master of Go - Wikipedia
It is a semi-fictional chronicle of the lengthy 1938 "retirement game" of Go by the respected master Honinbo Shūsai, against the up-and-coming player Minoru Kitani (although the latter's name is changed to Otaké in the book). It was the last game of the master Shūsai's career, a lengthy struggle which took almost six months to complete; he lost to his younger challenger, to die a little over a year thereafter.

On exiting the Jogmyo shrine you'll find yourself in Jogmyo Park, one of the most atmospheric areas in Seoul. It is full of old men selling calligraphy, drinking soju and playing 'baduk', a Korean boardgame simular to Go. We liked to sit, watching the players and listen to the wooden clacks of the thousand (!) game pieces.
