Featured this album on the thirtieth issue of RULE of THREE (bit.ly/RULEofTHREEbc). Dead Man ironically features a calm but steady heart-beat throughout the track soon accompanied by a powerful bass line with some nice chord changes. The heavily distorted but pleasing guitar creates some drama and paves the way for the slightly distant vocals that definitely have a sing-along effect. Dead man is very much alive. Having listened to the whole NCs catalogue available here - this is my favourite album.
So so good.
Vyvyan Rising is possibly ahead by a nose from other tracks for me, but the bar is set high, and Begin Again or Snake Eat Snake could equally be #1 for me.
Maybe it’s an accent thing but to my ears the refrain in Factice REALLY sounds like “F__k this” 😂
