mourner Another great album that was released on April 19th. This is far more melodic and epic, sometimes even hymnic. Thanks to the drumming and the deliciously fierce vocals Kydoimos doesn't fall short in aggression. Fantastic mix of pagan and folk elements, too. Kawir are going very strong! Favorite track: Fields Of Flegra.

H.L. The drums pound relentlessly in KAWIR's approach of Greek black metal, but beyond this basic brutality and heaviness there are also many melodic and even folkloristic elements to discover. The vocals sometimes consist of speech, sometimes of harsh growls. All ingredients perfectly balanced you find in my two favourite songs "Fields of Flegra" and "Hecatonchires". Favorite track: Fields Of Flegra.

sashavonkarl74 Hellenic veterans Kawir dropped their 9th full-length and what an opus this is, epic, pagan, melodic, violent, majestic! Highly recommended!! Favorite track: Echetlaeus.

about

HELLENIC PAGAN CULT

KAWIR formed in the Greek black metal scene of the 90s and have been exploring Greek mythology, literature, and mysteries for 30 years - and no other band really captures the essence of those stories and times the same way.
With ‘Kydoimos’ KAWIR has reached an ambitious point they've been working towards for a couple of records now.
An essential album for fans of Rotting Christ, Necromantia, Varathron, etc!
