OpenSCAD
The programmer's solid 3D CAD modeller
OpenSCAD is software for creating solid 3D CAD models. It is free software and available for Linux/UNIX, Windows and Mac OS X. Unlike most free software for creating 3D models (such as Blender) it does not focus on the artistic aspects of 3D modelling but instead on the CAD aspects. Thus it might be the application you are looking for when you are planning to create 3D models of machine parts but pretty sure is not what you are looking for when you are more interested in creating computer-animated movies. OpenSCAD is not an interactive modeller. Instead it is something like a 3D-compiler that reads in a script file that describes the object and renders the 3D model from this script file. This gives you (the designer) full control over the modelling process and enables you to easily change any step in the modelling process or make designs that are defined by configurable parameters. -

AviTab
X-Plane plugin that displays a tablet to aid VR usage
AviTab is a plugin for the X-Plane flight simulator. It displays a tablet-like computer with a few apps in the cockpit. It is mainly used for flying in virtual reality. When flying in a simulator, one often needs to look up details in PDF charts, plane manuals, checklists or other documents. Using a PDF reader breaks the immersion because the virtual aviator either has to take off of their HMD or use other tools that can move windows into VR. AviTab tries to solve this problem by offering a PDF reader inside a native plugin for X-Plane. Using a plugin also opens possibilities for more apps inside the tablet, for example, to display information about the plane status or aid in navigation. When hovering over the edges of the tablet from a short distance, X-Plane will display green bars around the tablet. The upper bar can be used to grab the window and move it around inside the cockpit. -

NoiseGator (Noise Gate)

Ever wanted to cut out background noise when talking with others on Skype? Now it's possible! NoiseGator is a light-weight noise gate application that routes audio through an audio input to an audio output. In real-time the audio level is analysed and if the average level is higher than the threshold the audio bypasses as normal. However, if the average level goes below the threshold, the gate closes and the audio is cut. When used with a virtual audio cable it can act as a noise gate for a either a sound input(microphone) or sound output(speakers). Can also be used to gate noise from your own mic or play your microphone through your speakers. REQUIREMENTS: - Java 7 or higher for Windows. - Java 6 or higher for Mac. Java 7 recommended. - A virtual audio cable is required for use with VOIPs: For Windows users I recommend the VB-Cable driver (http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/index.htm). Mac users can use SoundFlower. -

Most digital cameras produce EXIF files, which are JPEG files with extra tags that contain information about the image. Use Cemu's built-in graphic packs downloader (a feature added in Cemu 1.15.1) to automatically retrieve the newest graphic packs from our repository. Remove all of your graphic packs first, then move all of the folders from a downloaded .zip below to the graphicPacks folder from your Cemu folder. Choose one of the 3 downloads from above. Each download has a range of versions it supports, pick the one that’s supported by your downloaded Cemu version. Some graphic packs might not be available for Cemu 1.14.0 and newer while previous versions did have graphic packs. This is due to the full reimplementation of the texture system in Cemu 1.14.0. This also changed a lot of the aspects with textures and made all previous graphic packs that changed textures outdated. -

Route Generator is a tool to create or generate animated routes on a map and generate a movie from it. This movie can be imported in your video editing software (e.g. Pinnacle Studio), so you can add it to your own movies. The map can be imported from OpenStreetMap, Google Maps or GeoTIFF, TIFF files. The easiest way to test PlantUML is in an online solution that has PlantUML embedded, such as our online server. After testing, you may want to install PlantUML locally. Run (or have your software call) PlantUML, using sequenceDiagram.txt as input. The output is an image, which either appears in the other software, or is written to an image file on disk. Diagrams are defined using a simple and intuitive language. (see PlantUML Language Reference Guide). Images can be generated in PNG, in SVG or in LaTeX format.
