PortOpt
A portfolio-optimizer using Markowitz(1952) mean-variance model
PortOpt [Portfolio Optimizer] is a C++ program (with Python binding) implementing the Markowitz(1952) mean-variance model with agent's linear indifference curves toward risk in order to find the optimal assets portfolio under risk. You have to provide PortOpt (in text files or - if you use the api - using your own code) the variance/covariance matrix of the assets, their average returns and the agent risk preference. It returns the vector of assets' shares that composes the optimal portfolio. In order to minimise the variance it internally uses QuadProg++, a library that implement the algorithm of Goldfarb and Idnani for the solution of a (convex) Quadratic Programming problem by means of an active-set dual method. This solution is very efficient as it allows to solve hundred of thousand of portfolio problems in seconds. PortOpt runs as a text/console tool so it can be easily used in your own scripts. -

It covers the same features but also adds these extra features/fixes. 1, Parameters Can Return Recordsets 2, Calls to procedures can return out/inout vars 3, Threadsafe when using MariaDB Client Libs 4, Supports multiple returned recordset The driver checks during runtime that it is using the MariaDB Client library. If it's not it will fail to init. This is because the MariaDB Client librarys handle multi threading correctly. You can comment out the appropriate lines of code to stop this check. NOTE: There are binarys to download this is because there are so many variations on how it can be compiled. You are expected to compile it yourself. -

An open-source, SDL based, game engine to replicate old style Rockman (aka Megaman) games, being as close as possible of Rockman 1-6, and an editor made with Qt, for custom graphics, weapons, bosses, enemies and level creation. Stochastic parameter sensitivity analysis for chemical networks
SPSens is a complete software package written in C that estimates parameter sensitivities for stochastic models of chemical and biochemical reaction networks using Monte Carlo (MC) stochastic simulations. It is possible to estimate sensitivities with respect to system parameters using the following algorithms: finite difference methods (crude monte carlo, common reaction path, coupled finite differences); likelihood ratio methods; and regularized pathwise derivatives. Additionally the package includes basic stochastic simulation algorithms. The package includes several example networks which can be easily modified for other networks. Serial and parallel MPI implementations can be built and called from the command line. The serial implementation of the package can also be called from Matlab via the MEX interface with limited functionality. It supports many user specified options, including the use of antithetic sampling that can be used in some cases to increase efficiency. -

Physical simulation of particle movements
Physical simulation of particle movements. The computer program SphereSim simulates and animates the behavior and the movement of particles in a space. By forces (such as gravity in a particular direction and between the particles, repulsion of the particles against each other and from the walls, Lennard-Jones-Potential between particles) different physical effects in particle groups are calculated and shown, such as the Brownian motion. The application uses the programming language C++ and the Qt, OpenGL and OpenMP libraries. -

Generate an executable state machine from a high level language.
This application may be used to generate a full-featured software state machine using a high-level description language. Several state machines can be placed into the same source file and they can reference one-another to create nested state machines. Any arbitrary code can be associated with any state transition. Inline code is supported. Any code may also be defined to be run before the start state is entered as well as after the end state is finished. Uses for this software include creating scanners and filters as well as user interfaces. Any time a complex integer based state machine is appropriate, this generator will help the developer create the states in a clear and organized fashion with lots of supporting documentation. -
