This project consists of two shell scrips. One splits an adb backup into several ones by app name extracting the contents of the tars to a temporal folder and then re-taring everything to get the individual ab for each android app. The other shell script uses Tar Binary Splitter to divide the main tar inside the adb backup without extracting anything from the tar, so is by far the best method. Simple command-line directory incremental backup tool. Create compressed point-in-time snapshots, adding only new or modified files each time. Uses a file catalog so previous zip volumes are not needed for backup. Archives are automatically time-stamped.

lzop is a file compressor similar to gzip. Its main advantages over gzip are much higher compression and decompression speed, at the cost of some compression ratio. lzop uses the LZO library for compression services.
