    Hammurabi Code

    Astrophysical magnetic fields simulator

Hammurabi is a HEALPix-based tool for simulating observables such as polarized synchrotron and thermal dust emission from models of physical inputs such as magnetic fields, dust and electron distributions, etc. It is a modular C++ framework into which you can add your own models easily and then use it to perform the line-of-sight integration to compute the observables. See the wiki for installation and usage information. Please cite the original Waelkens et al. (2009) paper if you use hammurabi. This version of Hammurabi is deprecated and is no longer being supported. A new and improved version of Hammurabi (dubbed 'X') is available at : https://bitbucket.org/hammurabicode/hamx

    High Speed Parallel Imaging (HSPI)

    High Speed Parallel Imaging (HSPI)

HSPI does parallel capture and sky surveys.

HSPI offers to the astronomer the possibility to capture pictures from the CCD camera in a fast and intuitive way, keeping under control all the instrumentation in posses. HSPI can control the CCD camera, the mount, the focuser, the filter wheel and the dome from a single interface, and not only this: these features can be added on as many observatories and instrumentations you want. HSPI is ASCOM and INDI compatible, so if you want to use particular setups like Linux computers connected with your instrumentation and control them from remote then HSPI is your choice! After a few clicks you can see the images coming from your cameras connected through Internet or your LAN. HSPI saves your pictures in various formats: Bitmap, FIT, JPEG, PNG, TIFF are the picture formats supported.

    INDI alignment infrastructure

N point alignment infrastructure for INDI telescope drivers

This project is no longer under active development. It has been superceded by the alignment subsystem which is now part of the main INDI project. This project provides an "alignment layer" driver to sit above INDI telescope drivers. This layer performs transformation services for telescope coordinates as they pass up and down to the underlying driver. The conversion matrices are computed from alignment datums passed down into the alignment layer. The N point alignment model can be used for both equatorial and alt azimuth mounts. The alignment database and coordinate conversion functionality is isolated in a separate class library module which can also be used to provide this functionality directly to INDI telescope drivers.

    Instrumented Telescope

Software for instrumenting a Dobsonian telescope

This projects hold software required for instrumenting an alt-az telescope mount. The required hardware is documented here (http://simonbox.info/index.php/astronomy). The software enables real time conversion from (measured) alt-az to ra-dec and manages a connection to Stellarium (http://www.stellarium.org/), which allows you to view where the telescope is pointing in a virtual planetarium.
