SkytechX is free astronomical planetarium for rendering real objects (stars, planets, comets etc.) on the map. Program works with range of years 1 AD and 3000 AD. Main catalogue is Tycho2 with more than 2.5 millions of bright stars. Slim is a data compression system for scientific data sets, a binary and a library with C linkage. Slim works with integer data from one or more channels in a file, which it can compress more effectively and more rapidly than general tools like gzip.

Program vznikol ako ročníková práca z informatiky na Gymnáziu Jána Adama Raymana v Prešove. Vznikol na základe programu PC – Sun (autor: V. Feik), ktorý slúži na digitalizáciu pozorovaní Slnka na Hvezdárni Františka Pešty v Sezimovom Ústí (ČR). Program Slnečné škvrny slúži na digitalizáciu pozorovaní slnečných škvŕn a fakulových polí. Pozorovania sú následne štatisticky spracované do tabuliek a grafov popisujúcich aktivitu Slnka. Program taktiež umožňuje výpočet fyzikálnych súradníc Slnka, Carringtonovej otočky a juliánskeho dátumu. Program je určený pre astronómov – amatérov aj profesionálnych astronómov. Program rieši komplexne problém pozorovania slnečných škvŕn. Taktiež realizuje kontrolu vstupných dát od užívateľa. Pre správne fungovanie programu je potrebné dať užívateľovi právo zapisovať do priečinku "C:\Program Files\Slnecne skvrny".

The software simulates the motion of the solar system by different numerical methods. On start, the software expects the input file planeten.txt in the same folder. This file should contain the desired initial conditions. The separator may be adjusted via the file settings.ini.

This is an application that computes the date and time in formats appropriate for astronomers - julian date, sidereal time, modified julian date, truncated julian date. Extremely accurate, includes correction for apparent sidereal time.

Welcome to the StarFiles Homepage! This application is designed to sort FITS star image files taken by professional astronomers at observatories. The application sorts the files by their image type: Bias, Dark, Flat, and Object. The Flat and Object images are sorted by filters U, B, V, R, and I. The application allows the user to create and save a profile of a given observatory's FITS header format, for future sorting use. This application also provides a header viewer for FITS image file.
