The nesbox/emulator is an open source, browser-based emulator for a collection of retro gaming systems (NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive, GameBoy, etc.). It’s written in ActionScript/Flash, and the project includes SWF binaries so you can embed the emulator into web pages. The emulator allows users to load ROMs and play them in their browsers via the Flash plugin. It’s licensed under the MIT license, meaning it’s quite permissive in terms of reuse. While Flash is an aging technology, the project remains a practical way to access old console gaming via browser, as long as Flash is supported or available. -

TOFSIMS
R/Bioconductor toolkit for mass spectrometry data
The tofsims project is an R/Bioconductor toolkit designed for processing, analyzing, and visualizing imaging mass spectrometry data from Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) instruments. It supports importing raw and preprocessed data from popular instrument platforms (e.g. IONTOF, Ulvac-Phi) and provides methods for mass calibration, peak picking, and peak integration. The package allows transformation of spectra into 2D image structures (mass images), with operations such as binning, scaling, subsetting, and visual rendering. For data exploration and dimensionality reduction, it includes multivariate methods common in the ToF-SIMS community: PCA (Principal Component Analysis), MCR (Multivariate Curve Resolution), MAF (Maximum Autocorrelation Factors), and MNF (Minimum Noise Fraction). It also interoperates with Bioconductor’s imaging stack (e.g. EBImage) so users can apply segmentation and image analysis operations on mass images. -

A BSD-based OS project that aims to provide an experience with MacOS
We love macOS, but we’re not a fan of the ever-closing hardware and ecosystem. So we are creating ravynOS, an OS aimed to provide the finesse of macOS with the freedom of FreeBSD. This is a developer preview image that’s mainly intended for helping build the system. We recommend running in a virtual machine, although it should work on any hardware supported by FreeBSD-CURRENT (14.0) with at least 2GB (8GB recommended) RAM. PLEASE NOTE: On 2022-02-14, we decided to abandon the current path of using X11/KDE desktop components and write from scratch a new UI that will align better with our goals. This stepping back will slow the project but ultimately should result in a better outcome. We intend to bring many of the features you’ve come to love from macOS to ravynOS like clean design, global menus, and drag-and-drop installs. All of your FreeBSD ports and apps, Linux apps, and even trivial Darwin & macOS binaries can now run on ravynOS. And we’re actively working on improving it! -

xterm.js is a TypeScript-based front-end terminal emulation component that lets web applications embed fully-featured terminal interfaces. It powers in-browser terminals in tools like VS Code and browser IDEs. Xterm.js works with most terminal apps such as bash, vim, and tmux, including support for curses-based apps and mouse events. Xterm.js is really fast, it even includes a GPU-accelerated renderer. Xterm.js is not a terminal application that you can download and use on your computer. Xterm.js is not bash. Xterm.js can be connected to processes like bash and let you interact with them (provide input, receive output). -

The Editor uses a Record-Layout description to format the files. This is ideal for Fixed width (Text or Binary) files, Cobol Data Files, Mainframe files and complicated Csv files. Cobol Copybooks can be used to format Cobol Data files.
