The name '008' or 'agent 008' reflects our ambition: beyond crafting the premier Open Source Softphone, we aim to introduce a programmable, event-driven AI agent. This agent utilizes embedded artificial intelligence models operating directly on the softphone, ensuring efficiency and reduced operational costs. This project is a WebRTC softphone, and communication is achieved via SIP over a socket. Leading PBX systems like Asterisk or Freeswitch support socket connections. If your provider does not offer this feature, consider using a SIP proxy such as Kamailio, Opensip or Routr. The softphone is internally configured using a JSON definition. The configuration file can be loaded from either a server or a local file. 008 reads the file only once. -

css-only-chat is a proof-of-concept demonstration that implements a functioning chat interface using only HTML and CSS, without any JavaScript or backend logic. The project showcases creative use of CSS selectors, checkboxes, labels, and the :checked pseudo-class to mimic interactive behaviors normally handled by JavaScript. Messages are pre-written in the HTML and displayed based on user interaction, making it more of a playful experiment than a real messaging platform. Its main purpose is to illustrate the limits of CSS as a programming and UI tool, serving as both an educational example and a bit of humor within the developer community. By pushing CSS beyond its conventional role, it demonstrates how user interfaces can be simulated through styling tricks and static structures. Although not suitable for production use, it stands as a fun exercise in front-end creativity and unconventional coding challenges. -

Wifi & Bluetooth driven, LoRaWAN enabled, battery-powered mini Paxcounter built on cheap ESP32 LoRa IoT boards. Paxcounter is an ESP32 MCU-based device for metering passenger flows in real time. It counts how many mobile devices are around. This gives an estimation of how many people are around. Paxcounter detects Wifi and Bluetooth signals in the air, focusing on mobile devices by evaluating their MAC addresses. The intention of this project is to do this without intrusion in privacy: You don't need to track people-owned devices if you just want to count them. Therefore, Paxcounter does not persistently store MAC addresses and does no kind of fingerprinting the scanned devices. Data can either be stored on a local SD-card, transferred to the cloud using LoRaWAN network or MQTT over TCP/IP, or transmitted to localhost using serial (SPI) interface. LED Matrix display (similar to this 64x16 model, can be ordered on Aliexpress). SD-card (see section SD-card here) for logging pax data. -

Check on your node stats, explore the IPLD powered merkle forest, see peers around the world and manage your files, without needing to touch the CLI. When working on the code, run an ipfs daemon, the local dev server, the unit tests, and the storybook component viewer and see the results of your changes as you save files. If you need to run IPFS in a Docker container, you can still have Web UI available by exposing both the Gateway and Web UI ports. The end-to-end tests (E2E) test the full app in a headless Chromium browser. They spawn real IPFS node for HTTP API and a static HTTP server to serve the app. The purpose of those tests is not being comprehensible, but act as a quick regression and integration suite. -
