Idris 2
A purely functional programming language with first class types
In type-driven development, types are tools for constructing programs. We treat the type as the plan for a program, and use the compiler and type checker as our assistant, guiding us to a complete program that satisfies the type. The more expressive the type is that we give up front, the more confidence we can have that the resulting program will be correct. In Idris, types are first-class constructs in the language. This means types can be passed as arguments to functions, and returned from functions just like any other value, such as numbers, strings, or lists. This is a small but powerful idea, enabling relationships to be expressed between values; for example, that two lists have the same length. Assumptions to be made explicit and checked by the compiler. For example, if you assume that a list is non-empty, Idris can ensure this assumption always holds before the program is run. -

Simple language for building maintainable programs. You can learn the entire language by going through the documentation over a weekend, and in most cases, there's only one way to do something. This results in simple, readable, and maintainable code. Despite being simple, V gives a lot of power to the developer and can be used in pretty much every field, including systems programming, webdev, gamedev, GUI, mobile, science, embedded, tooling, etc. V avoids doing unnecessary allocations in the first place by using value types, and string buffers, promoting a simple abstraction-free code style. Most objects (~90-100%) are freed by V's auto-free engine: the compiler inserts necessary free calls automatically during compilation. A remaining small percentage of objects is freed via GC. The developer doesn't need to change anything in their code. "It just works", like in Python, Go, or Java, except there's no heavy GC tracing everything or expensive RC for each object. -

LLVM Obfuscator
All releases prior to and including LLVM8 are signed using this PGP Key from Naville. Verifiable on his Keybase. Security is not now, and will never be based purely on Obscurity. The "Security Companies" might say so to sell more of their products. But no, binary obfuscation won't magically fix all your exploits and bugs, (If not introducing more). Designing an Obfuscator is hard, and keeping the source open definitely leaks the pattern to crackers which could potentially make the crackers' life easier if they have the right skillset. While every reasonable attempt has been made in Hikari to reduce such patterns from appearing, however, with overkill weapons like symbolic execution, binary obfuscation can still be defeated much easier, even so-called VM-based obfuscation. DOI 10.1145/2991079.2991114 explained this in great detail. I would implement a few anti-SE mechanisms in the future in an attempt to cause (even) more trouble to attackers, though. -

A C/C++ implementation of a Sass compiler
LibSass is an implementation of Sass in C/C++, designed to be easy to integrate into many different languages. However, as time wore on it ended up lagging behind Dart Sass in features and CSS compatibility. LibSass is just a library. To run the code locally (i.e. to compile your stylesheets), you need an implementer, or "wrapper". There are a number of other wrappers for LibSass. We encourage you to write your own wrapper, the whole point of LibSass is that we want to bring Sass to many other languages, not just Ruby! Sometimes there are multiple wrappers per language, in those cases, we put the most recently-updated wrapper first. To run the compiler on your local machine, you need to build SassC. To build SassC, you must have either a local copy of the LibSass source or it must be installed into your system. For development, please use the source version. -

This directory holds the Opal runtime and corelib implemented in Ruby and JavaScript. opal-parser allows you to eval Ruby code directly from your HTML (and from Opal) files without needing any other building process. Opal.compile is a simple interface to just compile a string of Ruby into a string of JavaScript code. Go compiler for small place
TinyGo brings the Go programming language to embedded systems and to the modern web by creating a new compiler based on LLVM. You can compile and run TinyGo programs on over 60 different microcontroller boards such as the BBC micro:bit and the Arduino Uno. TinyGo can also produce WebAssembly (WASM) code which is very compact in size. You can compile programs for web browsers, as well as for server and edge computing environments that support the WebAssembly System Interface (WASI) family of interfaces. TinyGo is a Go compiler intended for use in small places such as microcontrollers, WebAssembly (Wasm), and command-line tools. It reuses libraries used by the Go language tools alongside LLVM to provide an alternative way to compile programs written in the Go programming language. While TinyGo embeds the Clang compiler to parse import "C" blocks, many features of Cgo are still unsupported. -

Compile and execute C "scripts" in one go!
I love C for its raw speed (although it does have its drawbacks). We should all write more C. With this shell script, you can compile and execute C "scripts" in one go! (Oh yeah, and it works for C++ too.) First of all, I want to clarify why this is not the same as tcc -run. TCC is a compiler. We all know that. TCC will perform its own set of optimizations, just as GCC will perform its own and Clang will perform its own. The purpose of this script is to give a simple front-end to your favorite compiler. I'm a fan of speed, and C definitely offers it. Being able to write a small, fast, and portable C "script" is great. You can pass around a C "script" just like you would a BASH script. -

Koka is a strongly typed functional-style language with effect types and handlers. The core of Koka consists of a small set of well-studied language features, like first-class functions, a polymorphic type- and effect system, algebraic data types, and effect handlers. Each of these is composable and avoid the addition of “special” extensions by being as general as possible. Koka tracks the (side) effects of every function in its type, where pure and effectful computations are distinguished. The precise effect typing gives Koka rock-solid semantics backed by well-studied category theory, which makes Koka particularly easy to reason about for both humans and compilers. Effect handlers let you define advanced control abstractions, like exceptions, async/await, or probabilistic programs, as a user library in a typed and composable way. Perceus is an advanced compilation method for reference counting. -

4tH compiler
A Forth compiler with a little difference
4tH is a Forth compiler with a little difference. Instead of the standard Forth engine it features a conventional compiler. 4tH is a very small compiler that can create bytecode, C-embeddable bytecode, standalone executables, but also works fine as a scripting language. It supports about 95% of the ANS Forth CORE wordset and features conditional compilation, pipes, files, assertions, forward declarations, enumerations, structures, suspended execution, recursion, include files, etc. It comes with an RPN calculator, BASIC interpreter, line editor, preprocessor, compiler, decompiler, C-source generator, a virtual machine, and a multitasking environment. -
