    ScientificTypes.jl

    ScientificTypes.jl

An API for dispatching on the "scientific" type of data

This package makes a distinction between machine type and scientific type of a Julia object. The machine type refers to the Julia type being used to represent the object (for instance, Float64). The scientific type is one of the types defined in ScientificTypesBase.jl reflecting how the object should be interpreted (for instance, Continuous or Multiclass).

    ScikitLearn.jl

    ScikitLearn.jl

Julia implementation of the scikit-learn API

The scikit-learn Python library has proven very popular with machine learning researchers and data scientists in the last five years. It provides a uniform interface for training and using models, as well as a set of tools for chaining (pipelines), evaluating, and tuning model hyperparameters. ScikitLearn.jl brings these capabilities to Julia. Its primary goal is to integrate both Julia- and Python-defined models together into the scikit-learn framework.

    Semagrams.jl

    Semagrams.jl

A graphical editor for graph-like structures

A graphical editor for graph-like structures based on Catlab. Legacy version built with typescript is in the legacy branch, and will not receive updates; new version with scala is now in the main branch. The core of Semagrams is just a library; in order to make it do things, one needs to create an "app" that uses it. Currently, the only app that is being developed is a Petri net editor, though this will soon change. In order to run the Petri net editor standalone, install Mill and npm, and then in one terminal in scala/ run mill --watch apps.petri.fullLinkJS and in another terminal in scala/ run npm run dev. The second command should print out a url that you can click on. You may have to run npm install before running npm run dev.

    Soss

    Soss

    Probabilistic programming via source rewriting

Soss is a library for probabilistic programming. Soss and DynamicPPL are both maturing and becoming more complete, so the above will change over time. It's also worth noting that we (the Turing team and I) hope to move toward a natural way of using these systems together to arrive at the best of both.

    Spark.jl

    Spark.jl

    Julia binding for Apache Spark

A Julia interface to Apache Spark. Spark.jl provides an interface to Apache Spark™ platform, including SQL / DataFrame and Structured Streaming. It closely follows the PySpark API, making it easy to translate existing Python code to Julia. Spark.jl supports multiple cluster types (in client mode), and can be considered as an analog to PySpark or RSpark within the Julia ecosystem. It supports running within on-premise installations, as well as hosted instances such as Amazon EMR and Azure HDInsight.

    Stan.jl

    Stan.jl

Stan.jl illustrates the usage of the 'single method' packages

A collection of example Stan Language programs demonstrating all methods available in Stan's cmdstan executable (as an external program) from Julia. For most applications one of the "single method" packages, e.g. StanSample.jl, StanDiagnose.jl, etc., is a better choice for day-to-day use. To execute the most important method in Stan ("sample"), use StanSample.jl. Some Pluto notebook examples can be found in the repository.

    Starlight.jl

    Starlight.jl

A greedy game engine for greedy programmers

Welcome to the documentation for Starlight.jl, a greedy application framework for greedy developers. Its primary use case is video games, but the power of Julia, SDL2, Vulkan, and the Bullet Physics SDK can be leveraged to make just about anything you want. With a focus on flexibility and code quality, Starlight aims to be such a framework. It includes a suite of components and integrations that make it particuarly well-suited for video games, so it is not a stretch to call it a "game engine". However, Starlight is most fundamentally a scripting layer for SDL, Vulkan, and Bullet (via the Telescope backend), meaning it can be used for any application that needs high-performance rendering and physics. Furthermore, there are plans to allow selective enabling of different subsystems, meaning it could be used for GUI apps or pure physics simulation or anything else you can imagine.

    StaticTools.jl

    StaticTools.jl

Enabling StaticCompiler.jl-based compilation of (some) Julia code

Tools to enable StaticCompiler.jl-based static compilation of Julia code (or more accurately, a subset of Julia which we might call "unsafe Julia") to standalone native binaries by avoiding GC allocations and llvmcall-ing all the things. This package currently requires Julia 1.8 or greater for best results (if in doubt, check which versions are passing CI). Integration tests against StaticCompiler.jl and LoopVectorization.jl are currently run with Julia 1.8 and 1.9 on x86-64 Linux and mac; other platforms and versions may or may not work but will depend on StaticCompiler.jl support. While we'll do our best to keep things working, this package should still be considered experimental at present and necessarily involves a lot of juggling of pointers and such (i.e., "unsafe Julia"). If there are errors in any of the llvmcalls (which we have to use instead of simpler ccalls for things to statically compile smoothly), there could be serious bugs or even undefined behavior.

    Strategems

    Strategems

Quantitative systematic trading strategy development and backtesting

Strategems is a Julia package aimed at simplifying and streamlining the process of developing, testing, and optimizing algorithmic/systematic trading strategies. This package is inspired in large part by the quantstrat1,2 package in R, adopting a similar general structure to the building blocks that make up a strategy. Given the highly iterative nature of event-driven trading strategy development, Julia's high-performance design (particularly in the context of loops) and straightforward syntax would seem to make it a natural fit as a language for systematic strategy research and development. While this package remains early in development, with time the hope is to be able to rapidly implement a trading idea, construct a historical backtest, analyze its results, optimize over a given parameter set, and visualize all of this with great detail.

    Temporal.jl

    Temporal.jl

Time series implementation for the Julia language

This package provides a flexible & efficient time series class, TS, for the Julia programming language. While still early in development, the overarching goal is for the class to be able to slice & dice data with the rapid prototyping speed of R's xts and Python's pandas packages, while retaining the performance one expects from Julia. See the documentation for a more in-depth look at the package and some of the pain points it may solve when doing technical research with time series data.

    TensorBoardLogger.jl

    TensorBoardLogger.jl

Easy peasy logging to TensorBoard with Julia

TensorBoardLogger.jl is a native library for logging arbitrary data to Tensorboard, extending Julia's standard Logging framework. It can also be used to deserialize TensoBoard's .proto files. The fundamental type defined in this package is a TBLogger, which behaves like other standard loggers in Julia such as ConsoleLogger or TextLogger. You can create one by passing it the path to the folder where you want to store the data. You can also pass an optional second argument to specify the behaviour in case there already exists a document at the given path.
