SyncStuff is a personal cloud that relies on rsync to sync your files of your desktop, laptop, PC at work to and from a home server.

SynchedIn is a portable utility created to enforce realtime or latent synchronization of data (generally files) between different data storage sources. You can create as many synch configs as you please. Each synch config specifies a number of data sources, a number of schedulers. Each scheduler determines when the data sources must be checked for synchronization. Each data storage source represents a hierarchical (file system ...) or other type of data storage medium. These include hard drive, removable media, sequential devices, online storage services. Perhaps the most distinguishing quality of this utility is POP3 and IMAP storage providers which enable storage of files in a mail server, such as gmail or yahoo, in so much the same way as an online storage service (google drive, drop box ...). Synclair is a tool for diff'ing and synchronizing directories. It also includes a utility to find duplicate files (by name, or md5 hash). It is a command line tool, written in Java.

Up the Sync is a basic Google docs synchronizing program written in Java. It auto-syncs every 5 minutes by default, and can run quietly in the system tray. If the user updates a document on their computer the Google docs version is also updated.

srtools is a set of simple remote tools. the main two to mention: simple rdist distributes files or commands across hosts. srdist(1) understands rcs(1) files and host based files. there are several other tools see README. rcs tools has a few things , like "late-checkins" to check for files that one forgot to check in an dorev to force check in / do easy check in (avoiding complicated options). host based files is a way to allow hosts to distribute all files without clobbering host specific files. and with that ... srtools(1) makes partially synchronizng hosts easy. Also can be a far easier way to do incremental or nightly backups. Also an easy way to have multiple hosts interact. A small and very simple player to synchronize the playback of media (yet only music) on several computers using a similarly lightweight server. Server and client both use the Qt toolkit and the client uses Phonon for playback.

UDPonTCPproxy proxies UDP traffic from a set of ports over TCP tunnels. Server side NAT's the UDP ports to a chosen destination, then sends back destination's replies. Usefull to tunnel UDP over SSH tunnels to things like license or game servers.
