Open Source File Systems

This project serves as a collection of different free software projects that I'm working on. The major ones are currently "HFSExplorer", "DMGExtractor", and "NTFS-3G for Mac OS X".

WinDirStat (Windows Directory Statistics) is a disk usage statistics viewer and cleanup tool for Windows. On start up, WinDirStat reads the whole directory tree once and then presents it in three useful views. The official download location and collaboration platform for WinDirStat has moved to GitHub: https://github.com/windirstat/windirstat Downloads and source code provided on SourceForge may not always be up to date. They are primarily used for disaster recovery purposes.

Extundelete is a utility to undelete files from an ext3 or ext4 partition.

httpfs depends on FUSE. It uses HTTP/1.1 extensions to read arbitrary bytes from a file on a web-server. This is particular interesting for an iso, since it can be investigated (loop device) without actually downloading the whole iso.

Gptgen is a tool to non-destructively convert hard disks partitioned in the common, "MSDOS-style" MBR scheme (including extended partitions) to use a GUID partition table (GPT).

IMG4DC is a tools package containing two utilities to generate selfboot disc images for your Sega Dreamcast: cdi4dc, designed to make Padus DiscJuggler (CDI) images and mds4dc, designed to make Alcohol 120% (MDS/MDF) images. A selfboot image is a disc image format specially prepared to boot on your Dreamcast. In clear, by burning a selfboot image to a standard blank CD-R, the software containted into this disc image will run onto your Dreamcast, as a legit game disc, without any modchip or other hacking device. To use this software package, you must have mkisofs from the cdrtools project. This tool will create the ISO image needed by img4dc. djmount is a UPnP AV client. It mounts as a Linux filesystem (using FUSE) the media content of compatible UPnP AV devices : the Audio and Video content on the network is automatically discovered, and can be browsed as a standard directory tree.
