Uniqueoid program is designed for searching and deleting copies of files. Uniqueoid analyses target files and folders and offer to save one of the duplicates and eliminate the else. Search results can be saved and loaded. You may clean disk bit by bit. Uniqueoid takes care of files that become unique even after the end of the search. Unique files can’t be deleted accidently. Also Uniqueoid can automatically choose or ignore files by directory or path prefix. All this features in combine allows to reduce such routine and boring task as a getting rid of repetitive fotos, documents, music tracks and so on to some easy actions, no matter how much copies are involved. Uniqueoid is as simple as possible. It doesn’t require special knowledge in the computer architecture. At the same time program has extended settings for optimization for custom system and preferences. Uniqueoid is written in Java. It can be run on any OS where actual JRE is installed. Uniqueoid is a free software.

diskover is a file system crawler and disk space usage software that uses Elasticsearch to index your file metadata. diskover crawls and indexes your files on a local computer or remote storage server over network mounts. diskover helps manage your storage by identifying old and unused files and give better insights into data change "hotfiles", file duplication "dupes" and wasted space. A tool to verify and/or recover as much data as possible from failed disks. When a sector can not be read it will be filled with zeroes and diskrescue continues. The resulting disk/file can be checked with fsck and analyzed with dumpfs and fsdb.

Application that scans files and directories for specified folders, indexes their content, and retrieves lost or corrupted fragments. Ideally used to retrieved corrupted or lost files/folders after a disk crash recovery.

'finddouble' application searches into a directory and all its sub directories. If it finds several times the same file, a warning message is displayed, but no other action is taken. It's main use is to help you optimize you disk usage.

FSMM is the "File System Monitor and Mirror". Basically, it watches for certain events on your filesystem (or on a portion of it), and calls a "Mirror Engine" that will replicate this file ASAP to some other place.
