Istok is a new sans serif typeface. At present it has the four fonts with support for Latin and Cyrillic. The font includes oldstyle figure variants and small capitals (Regular only). Most glyphs are manually instructed using xgridfit, but other ones are autoinstructed in fontforge. Truetype instructions are specifically intended for rendering on LCD displays.

Octfont provides a bold and compact font (i.e., compressed spacing font or compressed font) for terminal windows. The octfont reviews serve as a question and answer area for any josephms sourceforge project and are regularly checked. Octfont includes three unicode fonts for X11 systems: oct, oct16, and oct24. They feature narrow vertical spacing and bold lettering. The narrow spacing allows more lines on the screen. The fonts are unicode fonts with more than 5000 characters. The oct and oct16 fonts are the same font with different alias names. The oct24 font is larger. The oct16 font is even large enough to be easilyread on a 4K 3840x2160 display. The fonts include character representations for the octal control characters (hence the name, octfont) rather than translating control characters to the null string like most fonts.

opentype.js is an OpenType and TrueType font parser and writer. It allows you to access the letterforms of text from the browser or node.js. Once you have the shapes, you can modify them, for example by snapping them to a virtual grid. opentype.js provides you with raw access to the glyphs so you can modify them as you please. A Webpack loader that generates fonts from your SVG icons and allows you to use your icons in your HTML. webfonts-loader uses the webfonts-generator plugin to create fonts in any format. It also generates CSS files so that you can use your icons directly in your HTML, using CSS classes.

This program will allow you to generate bitmap fonts from TrueType fonts. The application generates both image files and character descriptions that can be read by a game for easy rendering of fonts.
