    Site Kit for WordPress

    Site Kit for WordPress

Site Kit is a one-stop solution for WordPress users

Site Kit is a first-party WordPress plugin that brings key Google services into a single dashboard so site owners can see how their content performs and fix issues without leaving wp-admin. After a guided setup and verification flow, it connects properties to Search Console, Analytics, AdSense, PageSpeed Insights, and other services, surfacing the most relevant metrics per page and per site. The plugin focuses on clarity: traffic sources, search queries, top pages, and monetization signals appear alongside actionable performance recommendations. It also handles authentication and permission scopes securely, so multiple collaborators can access insights without sharing credentials. Widgets and contextual panels put data where it’s needed—for example, on the post list or edit screen—reducing tab-switching. For developers and agencies, Site Kit simplifies client onboarding and standardizes reporting across many sites.

    Spectral

    Spectral

A flexible JSON/YAML linter for creating automated style guides

An open-source API style guide enforcer and linter. Why write API Style Guides as lengthy manifestos when you could automate them? Make sure APIs are secure, consistent, and useful. Spectral is open-source but is also baked into Stoplight, with extensions for VS Code and other integration options, giving you real-time feedback wherever you design APIs. Spectral can be used as a generic ruleset engine on any JSON or YAML data but was built with OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, and JSON Schema in mind. Use Spectral rules to target API descriptions for quality improvement or enforce API Style Guide rules, such as naming conventions for OpenAPI models or prohibiting integers in URLs.

    Style-Guide-Boilerplate

    Style-Guide-Boilerplate

A starting point for crafting living style guides

A starting point for crafting living style guides. You can clone, fork, or download the repo from GitHub. Once you have the files for Style Guide Boilerplate, you'll create a directory on your site for them. Style Guide Boilerplate is currently PHP based so you will need a server that supports PHP. Upload the files from the GitHub repo to your newly created directory. In the head of Style Guide Boilerplate are custom styles for the boilerplate itself. These have all been prefixed with sg- so they hopefully shouldn't cause any conflicts with your website's own styles. You should be able to go to yoursite.com/style-guide/ and see how your live site's CSS affects base elements. The last step is creating your site's custom patterns/modules. To create custom patterns like buttons, breadcrumbs, alert messages, etc., create a new .html file and add your HTML markup into the file.

    Swagger2Markup

    Swagger2Markup

Swagger to AsciiDoc or Markdown converter

The primary goal of this project is to simplify the generation of up-to-date RESTful API documentation by combining documentation that’s been hand-written with auto-generated API documentation produced by Swagger. The result is intended to be an up-to-date, easy-to-read, on- and offline user guide, comparable to GitHub’s API documentation. The output of Swagger2Markup can be used as an alternative to swagger-UI and can be served as static content. Swagger2Markup converts a Swagger JSON or YAML file into several AsciiDoc or GitHub Flavored Markdown documents which can be combined with hand-written documentation. The Swagger source file can be located locally or remotely via HTTP. Swagger2Markup supports the Swagger 1.2 and 2.0 specifications. Internally it uses the official swagger-parser and my markup-document-builder. You can use Swagger2Markup to convert your contract-first Swagger YAML file into a human-readable format.

    TeXtidote

    TeXtidote

Spelling, grammar and style checking on LaTeX documents

If so, you probably know that the process is far from simple. Since LaTeX documents contain special commands and keywords (the so-called "markup") that are not part of the "real" text, you cannot run a grammar checker directly on these files: it cannot tell the difference between markup and text. The other option is to remove all this markup, leaving only the "clear" text; however, when a grammar tool points to a problem at a specific line in this clear text, it becomes hard to retrace that location in the original LaTeX file. TeXtidote solves this problem; it can read your original LaTeX file and perform various sanity checks on it: for example, making sure that every figure is referenced in the text, enforcing the correct capitalization of titles, etc. In addition, TeXtidote can remove markup from the file and send it to the Language Tool library, which performs verification of both spelling and grammar in a dozen languages.

    The HTML5 Shiv

Enable use of HTML5 sectioning elements in legacy Internet Explorer

The HTML5 Shiv enables use of HTML5 sectioning elements in legacy Internet Explorer and provides basic HTML5 styling for Internet Explorer 6-9, Safari 4.x (and iPhone 3.x), and Firefox 3.x. This includes the basic createElement() shiv technique, along with monkeypatches for document.createElement and document.createDocumentFragment for IE6-8. It also applies basic styling for HTML5 elements for IE6-9, Safari 4.x and FF 3.x. HTML5 Shiv is maintained by Alexander Farkas, Jonathan Neal and Paul Irish, with many contributions from John-David Dalton. It is also distributed with Modernizr. Include the HTML5 shiv in the <head> of your page in a conditional comment and after any stylesheets. HTML5 Shiv works as a simple drop-in solution. In most cases there is no need to configure HTML5 Shiv or use methods provided by HTML5 Shiv.

But when I see the mind-blowing blog posts from Gilles Castel (RIP)-How I'm able to take notes in mathematics lectures using LaTeX and Vim and also How I draw figures for my mathematical lecture notes using Inkscape, I realize that I'm still far from fast, so I decided to adapt the whole setup from Linux-Vim to macOS-VS Code.

    Wretch

    Wretch

A tiny wrapper built around fetch with an intuitive syntax

A tiny (~ 3Kb g-zipped) wrapper built around fetch with an intuitive syntax. Wretch is compatible with modern browsers out of the box. For older environments without fetch support, you should get a polyfill. Converts a javascript object to query parameters, then appends this query string to the current url. String values are used as the query string verbatim. Only compatible with browsers that support AbortControllers. Otherwise, you could use a (partial) polyfill. Associates a custom controller with the request. Useful when you need to use your own AbortController, otherwise wretch will create a new controller itself. Aborts the request after a fixed time. If you use a custom AbortController associated with the request, pass it as the second argument. Returns the automatically generated AbortController alongside the current wretch response as a pair.

    easyjson

    easyjson

    Fast JSON serializer for golang

Package easyjson provides a fast and easy way to marshal/unmarshal Go structs to/from JSON without the use of reflection. In performance tests, easyjson outperforms the standard encoding/json package by a factor of 4-5x, and other JSON encoding packages by a factor of 2-3x. easyjson aims to keep generated Go code simple enough so that it can be easily optimized or fixed. Another goal is to provide users with the ability to customize the generated code by providing options not available with the standard encoding/json package, such as generating "snake_case" names or enabling omitempty behavior by default.

    encoding

    encoding

Go package containing implementations of efficient encoding

Go package containing implementations of encoders and decoders for various data formats. At Segment, we do a lot of marshaling and unmarshaling of data when sending, queuing, or storing messages. The resources we need to provision on the infrastructure are directly related to the type and amount of data that we are processing. At the scale we operate at, the tools we choose to build programs can have a large impact on the efficiency of our systems. It is important to explore alternative approaches when we reach the limits of the code we use. This package has no dependencies outside of the core runtime of Go. It requires a recent version of Go.

    generatedata

    generatedata

A powerful, feature-rich, random test data generator

This is the repo for the downloadable version of generatedata.com. The script is essentially an engine to generate any sort of random data in any format. It currently comes with 30 or so Data Types (types of data it generates), 12 Export Types (formats for the data, like CSV, SQL, JSON), plus around 32 data sets for specific countries (city names, regions, etc). But more importantly, it can be extended in any way you want. Check out the developer documentation for more information on that. The current major version of the script is 4.x, which was a big change over earlier releases. Earlier versions were written in PHP and MYSQL and 3.x offered a REST API to let you generate the data programmatically rather than via an API. While this is still planned for 4.x it's not currently offered, and the plan it to tackle that after making the script available as an npm package - which we feel will be a more convenient way to programmatically generate data over the more agnostic REST approach.
