Arachne is a graphical application written to showcase the best features of Seamstress. Seam carving is a technique developed by Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir for resizing images by removing the boring bits. The technique allows you to change the aspect ratio of an image without distorting the contents, and even remove unwanted subjects from images.

The Simple xbm Image Editor presents a Tkinter GUI and has the following functions: - Create new .xbm image files and update existing files - Images are displayed in actual size and in an enlarged grid suitable for editing - Toggle the bits of the image edit grid to foreground/background with mouse clicks - Increase or decrease the width and/or height of an image - Rotate an image - Shift an image up, down, left or right - Change the colors in which an image is displayed, although colors are not stored in .xbm files. Background and foreground color selection is provided in order to experiment with colors for your application. The editor can display very large .xbm files in their actual size but the maximum bitmap size that can be edited is 2500 pixels. This limit is arbitrary and can easily be changed, but bitmap edit grid loading and, in particular, garbage collection become quite slow if the limit is a lot more than 2500 pixels. The gridMax constant sets max size.

The X3DV Module Suite is a free set of Netbeans modules to code in X3D and VRML, the open standards for interactive and immersive 3D on Internet. This project is not developed since years ago, so you may need to do something to update from Netbeans 6 to modern Netbeans, or use an old version with it. Xj3D is a project of the Web3D Consortium focused on creating a toolkit for VRML97 and X3D content written completely in Java. Xj3D has been produced and is maintained by Web3D Consortium members. jPicEdt is an extensible internationalized vector-based drawing editor for LaTeX and related packages (TikZ, PsTricks,...), written in Java. It is also a library of reusable high-level graphic primitives.

jgeom has been republished here under an LGPL license, with permission of the original author. Bundled binary libraries are also include Java3D. This is a widely used library and stable. More documentation, examples and information to follow!
