JIBS: Java Image Browser Sorter. An image viewer with a full-screen slide show, image sorting, and producing contact sheet/thumbnails. The image viewer is perfect for sorting digital photos into correct directories. Displays EXIF information captured in the photos. Also great for managing downloaded images. Lots of other utilities included.

JDraw is a pixel oriented graphics editor. It is entirely written in Java, easy to use and saves (animated) GIFs, JPEGs, ICOs (favicons) and PNGs. Requires J2SDK 1.4 or higher.

The Shrimp suite provides interactive visualizations of graph-based data. Creole (Eclipse plug-in) visualizes Java source code. Jambalaya (Protege plug-in) visualizes ontologies (including OWL), & Stand-Alone Shrimp visualizes RSF/GXL/PRJ/PPRJ files.

itom is an open source software suite for operating measurement systems, laboratory automation and data evaluation. One main application of itom is the development and operation of sensor and measurement system for instance in a laboratory environment. Therefore, the software has to be able to communicate with a wide range of different hardware systems, such as cameras or actuators and should provide a diversified and as complete as possible set of evaluation and data processing methods. Additionally, the rapid prototyping of modern measurement and inspection setups requires a system, where parameters or components can easily be changed at runtime, necessitating the availability of an embedded scripting language. Finally, when operating a measurement system, it is also desirable to extend the graphical user interface by system adapted dialogs and windows. xzgv is a keyboard-controllable fast picture viewer. Its thumbnail-based file selector can copy, rename and move images, rotate by multiples of 90 degrees and mirror them. Displayed images can have their zoom, contrast, brightness and gamma adjusted.
