Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL from unpaired image datasets, using a differentiable photo editing model. ACM Transactions on Graphics (presented at SIGGRAPH 2018) Exposure is originally designed for RAW photos, which assumes 12+ bit color depth and linear "RGB" color space (or whatever we get after demosaicing). jpg and png images typically have only 8-bit color depth (except 16-bit pngs) and the lack of information (dynamic range/activation resolution) may lead to suboptimal results such as posterization. Moreover, jpg and most pngs assume an sRGB color space, which contains a roughly 1/2.2 Gamma correction, making the data distribution different from training images (which are linear). Exposure is just a prototype (proof-of-concept) of our latest research, and there are definitely a lot of engineering efforts required to make it suitable for a real product.

EzGallery is designed to quickly create and publish an HTML image gallery. It is a GUI desktop application that was written for people who want to publish a Web image gallery on a site that doesn't support PHP, ASP, or CGI programs.

FrankMocap is a monocular 3D human capture system that estimates body, hand, and optionally face pose from a single RGB image or video. It regresses parametric human models (e.g., SMPL/SMPL-X) directly, producing temporally stable meshes and joint angles suitable for animation or analytics. The pipeline couples a robust 2D keypoint detector with 3D mesh regression networks and priors that keep results anatomically plausible. It can run frame-by-frame or with temporal smoothing, and includes demo apps for live webcam capture as well as batch processing. Outputs include textured meshes, joint locations, and model parameters that can be exported to common DCC tools and game engines. The codebase offers pretrained models, clear inference scripts, and utilities to visualize results, making single-camera motion capture approachable on commodity hardware. Researchers and creators use it for motion studies, AR/VR prototyping, character animation, and human-in-the-loop editing.

FreeMet is a meteorological program which provides weather maps, radar movies, and forecasts in one GUI. New functions can be added easily by writing new plugins which download, parse or process existing data available on the internet.

gif-for-cli is a small, playful utility that brings animated GIFs to the command line by rendering frames directly in a terminal. It takes an input GIF (or a URL) and converts each frame into a terminal-friendly representation, timing updates to approximate the original animation. Depending on terminal capabilities, it can use ANSI color blocks or image protocols to achieve surprisingly faithful playback. The tool includes conveniences such as looping control, scaling to fit your terminal, and caching to avoid repeated downloads. It’s useful for quick visual feedback, lightweight demos, or just adding some personality to scripts and readmes. Despite its whimsical nature, the project is a tight example of frame decoding, timing, and terminal rendering glued together in a single command.

Geotag Merge is designed to combine track data from a GPS unit with EXIF data in a series of photographs. A handheld GPS can be simply carried while taking photos, and the photos can later be automatically gettagged (by matching timestamps).
