JSTx is used for displaying overlay graphics and text on top of a Philips television, changing channels, receiving remote control keys and changing television display modes. It is a command line utility to execute jointSPACE commands on a device that supports the jointSPACE protocol for Philips televisions (see http://jointspace.sourceforge.net for details on jointSPACE, which is based on DirectFB). It is used in various home automation/internet-of-things projects. There are three versions: 0.23 for 2009/2010 Philips televisions (xxx5 en xxx4 series), 0.24 for 2011-2012 televisions (xxx6-xxx7) and 0.24_2013 for 2013-2014 televisions (xxx8-xxx9 (only non-Android)). New Android sets (2014+) do not come with Jointspace and are not supported. It works on Linux operating systems. A Raspberry-Pi version is also available.

Jarvis Home Automation
Home automation with wake word detection and SMS commands.
Jarvis is a Home Assistant (https://home-assistant.io/) implementation with wake word detection, SMS commands, and a lot of automation control. While the Conversation component does it's job, it's currently a bit limited and without wake word detection it was almost useless to me. I also have tried the AlexaPi implementation as well as using Amazon Alexa products. However, creating custom intents was not as straight forward as I would have liked for quick and easy creation. Between wake word and API.AI for speech handling, it appears to work rather well. -

Local MessageBox triggering application
LocalMSG is a console application that enables user to trigger a messagebox on a local computer (no network message sending available for now). Program works under Windows 95 and newer. Unlike "net send" (xp) and "msg" (SeVen) commands this program can define a type of message being send (e.g. a "Yes/No" dialog, "Ok/Cancel" dialog etc.). Even more - it can return the button that was pressed on the popped dialog (e.g. when user presses "Yes" the exit program code will be "6"). The exit codes can be accessed via %errorlevel% variable in cmd and thus this application can be very useful in batch scripts whenever a user interaction/decision is to be involved. -
