OpenCTM is a file format, a software library and a tool set for compression of 3D triangle meshes. The geometry is compressed to a fraction of comparable file formats (3DS, STL, COLLADA...), and the format is accessible through a simple, portable API

mesh2hmap is a simple command line tool for converting 3D meshes to raster heightmaps. This tool allows you to create terrains in your favourite 3D modeller and then easily convert to a heightmap image.

Why do Archicad and Revit only share 30 or 40% of the global architectural sofware market ? Maybe because lots of small practices find these software unadapted to the way they work, and to their bank account. I think there's place for an open software that doesn't work like the existing. It will be simple in its tools and processes, and will have infinite capabilities. This will be possible by defining a logical structure. As I am an architect, and I know very little about programming, and wouldn't reach even in 10 years the necessary level to be able to write anything useful for this type of software, my part will be to bring ideas and coherence to this project. TactileImage is a simple cross platform 2D-to-3D converter (currently jpeg to stl). It enables a blind person to "see" (to feel by a tip of a finger) the images - when printed on 3D printer. It could also be used for creation of terrain in 3D games

convert3D is a tool to convert 3D files between different formats with some filters functions. The tool only convert the mesh of objects. At this moment it does not import light, textures, animations, etc..

Woa is a 3D reconstruction library, currently have not the ability to be a software, just a toy for somebody interesting in 3D reconstruction.
